Bonnet Island Estate: Rustic Elegance at the Shore: New Jersey Wedding Photography

Whitney and Jason first connected in February 2011 online, using Jdate.  They met for their first date at Caffe Reggio in the Village and were immediately inseparable.  Over a year later, Jason planned to surprise Whitney with a trip to Captiva, Florida, when Hurricane Sandy hit the Jersey Shore.  A week later, he convinced Whitney to go on vacation anyway, where he got down on one knee on a beautifully secluded beach and asked her to marry him. They chose the scenic Bonnet Island Estate in Long Beach Island for their special day.  The picturesque boathouse chapel was beautifully decorated with a birch huppa, flower petals lining the aisle, and candles in every window.  Whitney made a stunning entrance in her Anne Barge wedding gown, with its delicate details and flowing veil.  Florist, Katydid, created an elegant bouquet that tied in perfectly with the rustic theme of the wedding.  Two more special details were added to the arrangement in order to make it complete: a broach that belonged to Whitney’s grandmother, and a single orchid in honor of her other grandmother.  The bridesmaids were gorgeous in their blue Lela Rose gowns, while the men looked dapper in their Dante Zeller tuxedos.

With big smiles and warm hearts, the couple tied the knot before taking a stroll along the winding paths around the estate.  Inside, seating arrangements were creatively hung on an old barn door, and the beautiful reception hall was decorated with charming, rustic details.  The tables had a touch of burlap and lace mixed with pastel flowers, large glass lanterns, and delicately caged candles.  Creative Video Editing Films captured the night while Kim Sozzi and the Creations Band got the party started as soon as the newlyweds made their first appearance as husband and wife.  The lovely couple ended the night with a four-tier cake from The Bake Works.

Maplewood Country Club: A Sweet Wedding Story: Morris County Wedding Photographers

Our adorable couple Kristy & Jeff first bonded over their love of all things sweet, soda to be specific! She went to Quinnipiac University and he went to the University of New Haven and both of them knew right away that their love would be a forever kind of love and that Connecticut would hold a special place in their hearts.  After graduating at different times they kept up a long distance relationship with one in Connecticut and the other in New Jersey.  Summers in Ocean City New Jersey helped keep their relationship full of fun and lightheartedness.  They even had their engagement photos taken on the boardwalk! On the big day Kristy looked absolutely radiant in a satin Judd Waddell gown from Kleinfled Bridal with an embellished veil by Pnina Tornai and glittery Kate Spade heals that were so much fun.  She accented the look with just the right amount of sparkle from Kreations by Anne.  Her bridesmaids wore flowing Grecian column gowns in shades of deep fuchsia.  Bedminster Florist chose the same shade for the peonies in the bridal bouquet with a golden elephant charm for good luck and opted for roses and peonies in all the shades of pink for the girls.  The couple chose the beautiful Church of Christ the King in New Vernon with its stunning blue interior and vibrant community for their touching ceremony.   Tears, smiles and sunshine touched the crowd of friends and family.

The crowd was then off to Maplewood Country Club where they were greeted with signature pink cocktails and fuchsia pashmina wraps to keep them warm as the sun went down over the beautiful flowering cherry blossoms.  Bedminster Florist took Kristy's 'Dorothy meets Cinderella' heels as inspiration for the glittering table cards paired with roses in all shades of pink and lush green leaves.  Touching toasts brought tears of joy and laughter.  Even an honorary soda toast was made to celebrate the two lovebirds sweet first meeting, complete with celebratory pink and white-stripped straws adorned with cute phrases. Celebration Band managed by Jason Craig Entertainment kept this dancing crowd on their toes all night and Magnolia Photobooth Co. captured funny moments.  All in all a very sweet wedding story!

Bay Head Sailing Bliss: Bay Head Yacht Club: New Jersey Wedding Photographers

Jen and Andrew were both Boston College grads who meet through mutual friends and quickly fell in love.  They decided that the shore with it's beauty and friends would be the perfect place for the wedding.  On the big day Jen look just gorgeous in a Paloma Blanca gown with lace detailing and pearl accented belt.  Adorable blue seersucker dresses from Lula Kate and Invitations by Vera Wang were just the thing for a shore wedding with a sailing theme.  Andrew and his groomsmen were handsome in sport coats and khaki's with Vineyard Vine Ties.  After the ceremony the bridal party headed to the beach for some quick photos.  The Bay Head Yacht Club was the perfect venue for the couple and Petal Beach Floral Design Studio created hydrangea and rose arrangements in silver vases that were bathed in candlelight.  Sailing knots tied by the groom held table numbers and mini beach badges told the guests where to sit.  Mueller's Bakery of Bay Head even added an anchor cake topper.  The bride and groom danced all night to the original Springsteen tribute band, The B Street Band, while Michael Simmons Productions captured the night on video.  What a night! A White Tie Affair: The Metropolitan Club: New York Wedding Photography

This is one of our favorite fall events from our archives.  Rebecca & Christopher's elegant white tie wedding was a gorgeous affair.  We came in the night before for a few portraits in the park and to capture their rehearsal dinner at a private New York club.  The following day their ceremony took place at The Church of The Heavenly Rest and for their reception the couple selected  The Metropolitan Club.  Rebecca looked like royalty in her delicately embellished Carolina Herrera gown from Mark Ingram Atelier with her heirloom veil.  Her silver Jimmy Choo heels and stunning jewelry looked sophisticated with her sleek chignon which hair stylist Jason Quiin of Garren New York perfected.  Her bridesmaids look statuesque in slate gray Grecian style column gowns by Amsale Bridal and the groomsmen were dapper in white tie and tails from Baldwin Formals.  Expert event planner and florist David Beahm of David Beahm Designs transformed The Metropolitan Club into a romantic English garden vision.  Stationary by The Printery of Oyster Bay NY featured a beautiful imprinted monogram and the cake from Soutine Bakery was accented with delicate fresh wild flowers.  The Eturnity Band,  founded & lead by Antonio Alston, former drummer of James Brown, not only provided amazing vocals but created a full stage show that was spectacular.  Milestone Video Productions skillfully captured the epic night on video for the happy couple.  I was trilled to commission fellow wedding photographer Marie Papp of Marie Papp Photography to help capture this amazing event.

A Beautiful Russian Orthodox Wedding: The Madison Hotel: New Jersey Wedding Photography

Some things are just meant to be!  Just before Memorial Day weekend in 2009 New York City was humming with activity.  Marina and her girlfriends celebrated with dinner, drinks and "girl talk".  As they were discussing love Marina's friend Jill pointed across the room and said, “You never know what’s going to happen, Marina. Your future husband could be right around the corner; he could be that guy right there.” As Marina followed the extended hand she caught eyes with Mark. Two years later while on vacation in Warsaw's Old Town in Poland Mark proposed and Marina ecstatically accepted!  The couple toured the city by horse and carriage reveling in the romantic evening and thoughts of their future life together.

For the big day Mark and Marina enlisted the help of Agnieshka Burke of Pumpkin Coach Events to help create their vision.  Marina looked like a movie star from a bygone era in her Paloma Blanca gown from Bijou Bridal of Paramus, NJ.  Invitations by Pumpkin Coach Events had an old world feel and simple yet elegant bouquets from Flowers by Connie Riemer completed the look.  For a bit of sparkle Marina accented her gown with a veil embellished with crystals from Exquisite Bride of Millburn, NJ.  We just loved the little mirror she used to touch up her make up which had a wedding image of her grandparents on it.   A beautiful ceremony was held at the ornate St. John The Baptist Russian Orthodox Church The Madison Hotel, a Georgian Style Mansion set with beautiful mature trees, was a captivating reception site. The parents of the bride gave a touching toast and presented the bride with the traditional Russian wedding offering of bread and salt symbolizing a prosperous marriage.  At the end of the evening Marina perched on the ornate bar near the ballroom for a quick kiss!
