The Story of Jess and Dave
Written By The Lovely Bride
A girl met a guy at a coffee shop. Not just any coffee shop, but a special place in a quiet little town. The two met behind the counter. First learning how to work the register and poor exquisite drinks, then how to make one another laugh. These things took time. Finally, the time was right for the guy to ask the girl, "will you be my girlfriend?" Live music and bowling shoes set the mood. The two were inseparable.
The girl left for Baltimore to continue her education. The guy visited weekly, often delivering her favorite chai from the aforementioned coffee shop. They traveled to Ecuador. Months passed. Seasons passed. The girl passed her exams and moved back home. The guy moved to Philadelphia. The girl visited for days at a time.
In the years that followed, the two cooked, skied, traveled, ran, adventured, developed friendships and common ground. The girl moved to Jersey City.
The two were much closer at this point. They talked about the future. The guy got down on a knee as the sun set in the Bahamas. The two were engaged! They swam with pigs, moved in with each other and got a hound dog. The time apart had strengthened their time together.
The Big Day!
For the big day the couple chose the Hotel du Village a quaint French country estate in the heart of New Hope PA. With it's beautiful lush grounds it was a perfect match for the couple's love of nature and animals. The grooms cufflinks, the cake topper and table card holders were all miniature foxes and the whole meal from appetizers to cake was vegan. The Pod Shop of New Hope, PA created an organic floral look in ivory, soft sea-green and peach for their wedding flowers with peach garden roses, seeded eucalyptus and succulents. Birch tree boxes held the flowers and floating candles lit the night with romance. Enjoy!
