Lindsay and Andrew met out of all places at a wedding! Two and a half years later on a hot summer day in Bryant Park they were taking a walk when Andrew grew 'faint' and the couple sat down on a nearby bench. Andrew then got down on one knee and proposed. Afterwards they headed to a hotel for drinks where he surprised Lindsay with friends and family. The wedding was set for the fall and Lindsay, inspired by the season, choose an autumn color palette.
The bouquets were fabulous with an exotic mixture of flowers and berries. Lindsay's satin halter dress was simple elegant and most definitely a Vera Wang original purchased at Saks Fifth Avenue in the Short Hills Mall. Vera Wang also did the invitations. The shoes where rhinestone encrusted cream Jimmy Choo's, one of our favorite shoe makers! David Yurman designed the blue topaz and diamond earings.
The bridesmaids wore Lazaro, purchased at Mustillos Town & Country Clothes & Bridals on Broad St. in Red Bank. The rhinestone brooches ,a signature at look from Mustillo's, added such a lovely touch to the bridesmaids black satin dresses.
The ceremony was held at the Colts Neck Reform Church. The church was adorned simply and elegantly with sheaves of wheat. The groomsmen looked dashing in Calvin Klein suits.
The aisles were simply adorned as well, the programs were cream and burganndy with a single oak leaf.
The reception was hosted at the Eagle Oaks Golf Club in Farmindale, NJ. Rhythm Shop kept the night going as everyone flowed onto the dance floor.
The grounds at Eagle Oaks provided a great place for portraits and a romantic kiss!

Oyster Point Hotel: Katie & Michael : Monmouth County Wedding Photographers
Katie and Michael seemed destined to meet, and it was Michael's mother who first saw the possibility. Mrs. Daley was Katie's instructor when she was training to be a nurse anesthetist and she just saw the two hitting it off. It wouldn't be until much later that the couple meet. As fate would have it the couple ended up meeting by chance while on routine rounds, and they just clicked. Michael ended up proposing on the boardwalk in New Jersey.
After that night on the boardwalk wedding preparations were in full swing, and Katie and Michael decided to bring in Jessica Stasinos of The Social Butterfly to help plan their event. The Social Butterfly even did the invitations of rich warm brown with decorative pink scroll-work.
Katie looked like royalty in her cream Emerald Couture gown with all its delicate beading and layering that she found at The Elegant Alternatives in Spring Lake. The bridesmaids were stunning in their satin strapless gowns in a lovely classic pink by Bill Levkoff that Katie found on Antoinette Rose Bridal Boutique. Vanity and Mascara provided the hair and makeup opting for soft flowing curls, smokey eyes, and a pale pink lip color.
The ceremony was held at the Elberon Memorial Church which provided a beautiful backdrop for photos with its vintage cedar exterior and green accents.
The reception took place at the Oyster Point Hotel a 'contemporary boutique hotel tucked away on the Navesink River'. Stem. & Co provided the beaufiul floral arrangements with a variety of blooms in shades of pink, orange, and cream accented with delicate chains of crystals.
The centerpieces included whimsical miniature trees adorned with hanging "kissing balls" of pink and cream roses and crystals. Iridescent silk bows with pink, green, and purple undertones were the finishing touch on classic gold chairs. The cake was made by Oyster Point.
The Philadelphia Funk Authority entertained the crowd while Katie and Michael stole a kiss on the dance floor.
Mallard Island Yacht Club: Mallard Island Yacht Club Wedding Photographers
We were so honored to attend the first tasting at Mallard Island Yacht Club, the new sister estate to our beloved Bonnet Island Estate! Right on the water on Barnegat Bay this stunning 18,000 square foot yacht club is just divine. A charming boathouse with a stacked stone fireplace stands at the end of the pier, a perfect place for a romantic ceremony. Every detail, like the boathouse's wavy pane glass windows and pumpkin-pine flooring that were taken from a 1600's farmhouse, is absolutely exquisite.
In the main ballroom the dramatic Tiffany blue ceiling creates old-fashioned romantic atmosphere. Katydid Florist the arrangements for this table very clean and modern in design, with a strong black white and green theme in vintage silver vases.
We just loved the Groom's Shack which has a 'colorful' history as an army barracks and clam shack. With its rustic leather and tartan chairs and nautical theme it is just the place for a boys club. Below, MDS Floral Designs provided a Mackenzie-Childs inspired tabletop with sunflowers, yellow roses, and purple accents.
With showcases from some of our favorite vendors like MDS Floral Designs and Katydid Florist and exquisite food by the nationally renowned Merri-Makers we are just so excited to shoot there this summer!
Windows on the Water Sea Bright: Congratulations Jennifer and Jason! : Monmouth County Wedding Photographers
Congratulations to Jennifer Chong and Jason Larson for their Spring 2009 publication in NJ Life Magazine! This elegant beach wedding had a beautiful and distinctive turquoise and silver color palette with red accents, a reflection of Jennifer's chinese heritage that she wanted to incorporate. The couple laughs now at the fact that they both resisted being set up by Jennifer's aunt on Valentines Day, but two years later Jason proposed!
Held on the beach in Sea Bright the ceremony was elegant and airy, a burlap runner was a bold contrast to the silver floral vases and bundles of sea grass that accented the aisles. Windows on the Water at the Surfrider Beach Club proved to be a perfect choice for the intimate beach wedding. The bride looked radiant in a stunning, layered strapless gown with a lace bodice by Paloma Blanca which she found at The Elegant Alternatives in Spring Lake. Jennifer's delicate shell and pearl jewelry and headpiece was crafted by local custom bridal artist Erika Vermilyea seen at the Weston Gallery in Manasquan, NJ. The shoes were a favorite! These stunning rhinestone encrusted sandals were a definite Stuart Weitzman creation and they couldn't have been more elegant.
Kate Duffy Bernard of Katydid Florists in Red Bank worked closely with Jennifer to create bold, yet romantic arrangement working closely with her theme and color palette. The table markers where the names of the local beaches. The invitations and menus were exactly what the bride envisioned with red coral motifs and hints of ocean turquoise designed by Francesca Weber of What's the Occasion in Oceanport. One of the most exquisite details had to have been the hand painted watercolor programs, each one a sea shell done individually by Douglas Larson the grooms father.
