Jen and Andrew were both Boston College grads who meet through mutual friends and quickly fell in love. They decided that the shore with it's beauty and friends would be the perfect place for the wedding. On the big day Jen look just gorgeous in a Paloma Blanca gown with lace detailing and pearl accented belt. Adorable blue seersucker dresses from Lula Kate and Invitations by Vera Wang were just the thing for a shore wedding with a sailing theme. Andrew and his groomsmen were handsome in sport coats and khaki's with Vineyard Vine Ties. After the ceremony the bridal party headed to the beach for some quick photos. The Bay Head Yacht Club was the perfect venue for the couple and Petal Beach Floral Design Studio created hydrangea and rose arrangements in silver vases that were bathed in candlelight. Sailing knots tied by the groom held table numbers and mini beach badges told the guests where to sit. Mueller's Bakery of Bay Head even added an anchor cake topper. The bride and groom danced all night to the original Springsteen tribute band, The B Street Band, while Michael Simmons Productions captured the night on video. What a night!
Rumson Country Club: A Black Tie Wedding
Both Maggie & Eric went to same parties & social events at Boston College; they spent their summer nights at the same local college bar. Eric even saw his future bride perform on stage, however it wasn't until six years after graduation that they finally met. It was a mutual classmates wedding that brought the two together. "Under the smoky cover of a New Jersey fog machine, we took the first of many sweet dance steps together," recalls Maggie. They hit it off and shared their first kiss while waiting in line for a hand-rolled cigar. After a year of long distance dating Maggie finally made the move up to Boston to be with Eric. On a West Coast trip from San Francisco to LA the couple decided to take a hike in Big Sur. A 45 minute climb and one wrong turn later and Eric got down on one knee and proposed as the sun set over the valley. For the big day the couple decided to stay near Maggie's hometown of Rumson New Jersey. The Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven was perfect for her ceremony and a tented outdoor reception at Rumson Country Club fit the black tie wedding theme. Maggie chose a beautiful Monique Lhuillier gown from Kleinfeld Bridal with a full skirt of organza flowers paired with killer Jimmy Choo stilettos in festive silver sparkle. Make up and Hair was done by Glen Goldbaum and a birdcage veil added a timeless elegance. Eric chose a tasteful Brooks Brothers Tuxedo paired with evil ninja socks, a perfect pairing! Classic knee length black Alfred Sung dresses were picked or the girls. The couples' invites were from Pauline's Papery in Red Bank. Maggie's mom Kathleen was the official "party planner" bringing in fabulous florists & event designers Craig Kiely & Darryn Murphy Designs to create soft fall table arrangements & stunning bouquets. Their beautiful tent was brought in and set up by Sperry Tents and The All Star Dance Band from Star Talent Inc had this crowd packed on the dance floor till the early morning hour. Mr. Jeary, father of the bride, may just win our best dancer of the year award!
