Maplewood Country Club: A Sweet Wedding Story: Morris County Wedding Photographers

Our adorable couple Kristy & Jeff first bonded over their love of all things sweet, soda to be specific! She went to Quinnipiac University and he went to the University of New Haven and both of them knew right away that their love would be a forever kind of love and that Connecticut would hold a special place in their hearts.  After graduating at different times they kept up a long distance relationship with one in Connecticut and the other in New Jersey.  Summers in Ocean City New Jersey helped keep their relationship full of fun and lightheartedness.  They even had their engagement photos taken on the boardwalk! On the big day Kristy looked absolutely radiant in a satin Judd Waddell gown from Kleinfled Bridal with an embellished veil by Pnina Tornai and glittery Kate Spade heals that were so much fun.  She accented the look with just the right amount of sparkle from Kreations by Anne.  Her bridesmaids wore flowing Grecian column gowns in shades of deep fuchsia.  Bedminster Florist chose the same shade for the peonies in the bridal bouquet with a golden elephant charm for good luck and opted for roses and peonies in all the shades of pink for the girls.  The couple chose the beautiful Church of Christ the King in New Vernon with its stunning blue interior and vibrant community for their touching ceremony.   Tears, smiles and sunshine touched the crowd of friends and family.

The crowd was then off to Maplewood Country Club where they were greeted with signature pink cocktails and fuchsia pashmina wraps to keep them warm as the sun went down over the beautiful flowering cherry blossoms.  Bedminster Florist took Kristy's 'Dorothy meets Cinderella' heels as inspiration for the glittering table cards paired with roses in all shades of pink and lush green leaves.  Touching toasts brought tears of joy and laughter.  Even an honorary soda toast was made to celebrate the two lovebirds sweet first meeting, complete with celebratory pink and white-stripped straws adorned with cute phrases. Celebration Band managed by Jason Craig Entertainment kept this dancing crowd on their toes all night and Magnolia Photobooth Co. captured funny moments.  All in all a very sweet wedding story!

Rumson Country Club: A Black Tie Wedding

Both Maggie & Eric went to same parties & social events at Boston College; they spent their summer nights at the same local college bar.  Eric even saw his future bride perform on stage, however it wasn't until six years after graduation that they finally met. It was a mutual classmates wedding that brought the two together.  "Under the smoky cover of a New Jersey fog machine, we took the first of many sweet dance steps together," recalls Maggie. They hit it off and shared their first kiss while waiting in line for a hand-rolled cigar.   After a year of long distance dating Maggie finally made the move up to Boston to be with Eric.  On a West Coast trip from San Francisco to LA the couple decided to take a hike in Big Sur. A 45 minute climb and one wrong turn later and Eric got down on one knee and proposed as the sun set over the valley. For the big day the couple decided to stay near Maggie's hometown of Rumson New JerseyThe Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven was perfect for her ceremony and a tented outdoor reception at Rumson Country Club fit the black tie wedding theme.  Maggie chose a beautiful Monique Lhuillier gown from Kleinfeld Bridal with a full skirt of organza flowers paired with killer Jimmy Choo stilettos in festive silver sparkle.  Make up and Hair was done by Glen Goldbaum and a birdcage veil added a timeless elegance.  Eric chose a tasteful Brooks Brothers Tuxedo paired with evil ninja socks, a perfect pairing! Classic knee length black Alfred Sung dresses were picked or the girls.  The couples' invites were from Pauline's Papery in Red Bank. Maggie's mom Kathleen was the official "party planner" bringing in fabulous florists & event designers Craig Kiely & Darryn Murphy Designs to create soft fall table arrangements & stunning bouquets.  Their beautiful tent was brought in and set up by Sperry Tents and The All Star Dance Band from Star Talent Inc had this crowd packed on the dance floor till the early morning hour. Mr. Jeary, father of the bride, may just win our best dancer of the year award!

Nikki & Chris touched our hearts.  They are a such a kind couple full of warmth and love. Photographing their wedding was like being part of the family for the day and we are so grateful to have been a part of it. This classic wedding took place at Clarks Landing Yacht Club in Point Pleasant New Jersey overlooking the beautiful marina.  Nikki picked out a stunning  Alita Graham layered dress from Kleinfeld Bridal in New York with a delicate headpiece from  Haute Bride paired with  Badgley Mischka reinstone heels.  For the bridesmaids Nikki went to Park Avenue Bridal in Verona NJ and picked out chiffon dresses in periwinkle blue by Liz Fields. Elan Hair Studio of Sea Girt did a beautiful job on hair and makeup for the girls.  The boys picked out classic suits and  Vineyard Vines ties.   Purple Iris Flower of Point Pleasant crafted a cream rose  bouquet for the bride and peonies & hydrangea bouquets for the girls.

A quick boat ride with the happy couple started out the day.  The view at Clarks Landing Yacht Club greeted guests as they arrived for the outdoor ceremony overlooking the water.  Afterwards appetizers and cocktails were waiting while  DJ Bill Barbato owner of Weddingsetgo announced the shining couple.  Just as sunset came Nikki & Chris strolled along the marina to take in the day.

Waterside Restaurant & Catering: Congratulations Miranda & Steve: New Jersey Wedding Photographers

Miranda & Steve were a dream to work with they could not have been kinder or easier to photograph.  Their love overflowed!  They got engaged in Cape Cod on a weekend trip.  They were taking a stroll on the beach with one of the most magnificent views on the Cape when almost out of nowhere a woman came by and offered to take a photo of them by one of the famous dunes.  Suddenly Steve asked "Do you really want to get a good one?"  The woman seemed confused until Steve brought out the ring!  So she got to capture the best moment of all, the YES! For the big day Miranda looked like a screen siren in her ruched Michelle Roth gown from Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC with custom Swarovski crystal & pearl belt that the bride had added.  The bride got ready at The Sheraton Lincoln Harbor Hotel in Weehawken with make-up by the talented Kerry Crawford and Hair by Kim Zito of Expert Hair Design with Benjamin Adams shoes, handbag by Glint and earrings by Nadori to complete  the look.   The girls were stunning in deep purple gowns by Eden Bridesmaids from Antoinette Rose Bridal Store in Brick NJ.  Flower Elegance of Fair Lawn NJ chose shades of deep purple and lavender with hints of lime green and ivory.  Bella Figura of Syracuse NY created beautiful letterpress invitations.  The couple made a quick stop at Hamilton Park in Weehawken for a few portraits.

Plainfield Country Club: A French Country Wedding: New Jersey Wedding Photographers

With spring in the air I have been revisiting some of my favorite weddings of the past that I didn't get a chance to blog about.  Here is one of my favorite French Country weddings at the beautiful Plainfield Country Club.  The lovely bride Tracy look elegant and timeless in her lace Anne Barge gown from Kleinfeld Bridal.  Her bouquet by David Mitchell of Still Life Fine Event Design was gorgeous and the fresh herbs were just the right touch.  Bill the groom chose a classic Joseph Abboud Tux.   One of our all time favorite party planners JoAnn Gregoli of Elegant Occasions helped to pull this French Country vision together.   The ceremony was held at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Parish with the sun shining down.    The party then moved to The Plainfield Country Club were the guests enjoyed a beautiful outdoor cocktail hour with fresh cucumber water, a market vegetable spread and artisan breads inspired by the bride and groom's love of farmers markets.  Instead of a traditional cake Tracy & Bill went for a 'cheese cake' made from rounds of imported cheeses from Murray's Cheese Shop of New York decorated with sugared fruits.  David Mitchell of Still Life Fine Event Design created charming, rustic and romantic table displays.  I loved the white porcelain containers in various shapes and sizes with pewter chargers and golden yellow and hydrangea blue linens.  The table’s place cards were sweet vintage seed packages!  The lovely stationary was by Ceci of New York.  Lighting design by Stortz Lighting and music by The Le Blanc Brothers just made the night.
